The morning safari today was again one of those days when you get nothing or close to nothing. And such days are bad and very bad. Today fell in the very bad variety in terms of worthwhile sightings, and such that I did not so much as switch my camera on, for there was nothing even as interesting as to make me think of making an attempt to capture it, and that remained true for the evening safari as well even though I did pick up the camera — phone’s though —  and did shoot a picture of a mahaut’s elephant. These elephants are kept by the department under a trained mahaut mainly for the purpose of patrolling and they come in very handy in keeping a good vigil on a large area.

Yesterday, we tried to keep the Daily Vlog shorter and straighter than usual even though the day had enough for us to make a longer Vlog. But we wanted to have it in two parts so that each story from the day in question received its due focus and did not have to contend for attention with any other story. The second part of that Vlog is now live.
