A Red-headed Vulture spreads its huge, sprawling wings and flies over a water body in Panna Tiger Reserve. Vultures are getting increasingly scarce from habitat loss and indiscriminate use of diclofenac to treat inflammation and pain in cattle. Diclofenac is toxic to vultures and gets into them in large quantities when they consume discarded carcasses of cattle. I found some of these creatures in Panna and clicked a lot of great pictures. This is among the best of the lot.
