In this picture clicked in Manas Tiger Reserve, Assam, this elephant is kicking up dirt by stamping hard on the stump of a dried tree. Sometimes elephants do things for no reason at all, and sometimes for reasons known only to them. Many a time it’s hard to tell which case is which, like in this case.
