Group tours do not suit everybody for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the dates don’t suit, or the destination presents a problem, and sometimes it’s just that one is not very comfortable asking potentially embarrassing questions in front of strangers although I do try to encourage all questions, it still fails to draw out the true introverts. And sometimes it’s about the need for focused attention, which might be difficult on group tours no matter how hard I might try.Â
After thinking long and hard, and having gathered inputs from past participants, both from group tours and individual training tours, we came up with the idea of Customised Workshops for both individuals as well as small groups of not more than four, and we are launching it on an experimental basis for now. I can only promise that I am starting it, but whether or not we keep on with it would depend upon the success of the program.   Â
The flexibility of Schedule and Destination: Key Benefits
Since it’s a Customized Workshop, the dates, duration, and destination can be decided as per mutual convenience.
Customised for Level
Customised Workshop is a complete package for your level of learning because it is designed keeping in mind what you already know and what you need to work on to be a better photographer.
Customised for
Small Groups
The workshop is flexible and can be personalized for both individuals and small groups, providing you with the opportunity to learn alongside a close-knit circle of friends if desired.
The flexibility of Learning Level
There are various levels of learning, like in all training programs, which means that at a medium level one is presupposed to understand the basics, and at the advanced level, one is understood to require only the polishing of skills. In Customised Workshops, you can pick your own level and the training focuses on the areas that require development.
Customised Accommodation
This Workshop format also allows for customised accommodation, and one can go from minimal to premium stay facility. So the Workshop can be a lean learning experience with a complete focus on learning and practice alone, and can also be a bit of relaxed touristy experience as well, depending upon what one prefers.
How a day during the workshop looks like?
STRUCTURE
I will accompany you as a mentor on all the safaris, guiding you and helping you find your own voice and style so that you could be your own kind of photographer and not an imitator of someone else’s style. It’s far harder than it seems, and that’s what takes most of the work in being a photographer of note. Â
I would also give detailed sessions and presentations on, depending upon your level, the basics as well as advanced concepts of photography and processing. It goes without saying that the topics covered will be determined by your level and calibre, it being a Customized Workshop specifically designed to suit your requirements.
