Male tigers are relatively shy compared to females, but Patil Male of Umred Karhandla is even shier, which is why this is a rare shot. Umred-Karhandla is a wildlife sanctuary and not a designated tiger reserve but we decided to include it in ATR because it is a lush forest of many colors and has a sizeable tiger population to boot. If you get the something-is-off feeling, it’s because of the unusual combination of the independently usual visual elements.
