Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Keoladeo National Park, is a renowned avian sanctuary located in Rajasthan, India. This UNESCO World Heritage Site spans over 29 square kilometers and is home to a rich diversity of bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and photographers. Originally a royal hunting ground, it was transformed into a protected sanctuary in 1982. The park attracts numerous migratory birds, including the rare Siberian crane, and boasts a variety of flora and fauna. Bharatpur’s blend of wetlands, woodlands, and grasslands provides an ideal habitat for wildlife, offering visitors a unique opportunity to observe and appreciate nature’s beauty.
Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary holds a special place in my heart as it is where I began my photography journey and conducted my first workshops. I highly recommend this workshop for all levels because the sanctuary offers a multitude of opportunities, diverse lighting scenarios, and a wide array of species, providing an excellent practice ground for anyone looking to enhance their photography skills.
