About aarzoo
Aarzoo Khurana, a lawyer by training and a wildlife photographer by passion and vocation, has dedicated herself to bringing the wonders of distant wildlife closer to people. In an era when climate change has shifted from a casual topic of drawing-room conversations to a global existential threat, her efforts to reconnect human civilization with nature and wildlife are a crucial step toward promoting sustainable development. For development that comes at the expense of the environment is, ultimately, a trade of life for meaningless luxury.
Project ATR, in which Aarzoo traveled to all 55 tiger reserves in India in a single road trip, covered 37,000 kilometers over six months. The aim of this monumental journey was to raise public awareness about the tiger reserves and highlight the conservation efforts under Project Tiger to protect and sustain India’s wildlife.
With a global social media following of over 2 million, Aarzoo has connected a vast audience with India’s wildlife conservation efforts, far surpassing what she initially set out to achieve when she first picked up a camera and pointed it at a wild subject. Her work has been widely featured on platforms such as Discovery, NatGeo, Animal Planet, and many more. Additionally, she has mentored numerous students and has been teaching wildlife photography for the past seven years.

I attended Aarzoo's 3 day online workshop during lockdown. And I fell in love with the way she make you understand the concepts of photography. After which I was determined to attend field workshop with her. The 5 days field workshop in Kanha is still one of the best experiences of my life. Not only you get to learn about photography from basics, but she will make you fall in live with nature, animals and how to create stories with empathy through your lenses. She would answer every question, a detailed feedback for everything. Plus you get to meet wonderful people and become part of amazing community. I would recommend her field workshop as it will be a lifetime experience to have.
My first workshop with Aarzoo was in Kabini and it was an eye opener for me. I have learnt basic photography and had been in the jungles a couple of times before, but I wanted to learn more and enhance my skills. In the very first workshop I realized that wildlife photography is very different and there are so many different components to it. The way Aarzoo explained the subject right from the basics and take to the next level was something that was amazing about her. Hence, I decided to go on more workshops with her. Every workshop taught me something new and also I saw the difference in the photos I use to take and how they were changing for the better. Apart from the learning, her workshops are very well organized, her team is very good and helpful in getting any additional bookings done and I haven't had anything to complain about. Last but not the least, the people that have come to her workshops are all great and have created some good bonds and memories with them. So overall it has been great and I will whenever time permits continue to attend her workshops and continue to learn more and more about, wildlife, nature and photography.
Aarzoo's photography tour exceeded all my expectations. Her expertise in both photography and the tour locations made the experience enriching and fun. She provided practical tips that were easy to understand and apply, regardless of your level of experience. The camaraderie she fostered among the group added to the enjoyment. I highly recommend her tours for anyone wanting to learn more about photography in a hands-on, supportive environment.

Had a wonderful time at Corbett with Aarzoo. Lots of knowledge sharing and hands on teaching. Aarzoo makes sure that all your doubts are clear and what we learn is implemented on the field. Came back with amazing frames…
I have had the pleasure of attending numerous workshops, but this one stands out as the most exceptional. The organization, guidance, and accessibility exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The mentor's approachability and humility were particularly impressive, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop to anyone passionate about wildlife photography, as it offers an unparalleled learning experience.
Enrolling in the photography workshop was a game-changer for me. I entered with literally zero knowledge and left with a whole new perspective on capturing moments as well as technical aspects. Aarzoo’s passion and expertise were palpable. The hands-on sessions are invaluable, providing oppurtunities to apply newfound knowledge. Beyond learning, the workshop fosters a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for photography and wildlife creating an atmosphere of inspiration. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking to embark on or elevate their photography journey!
I met Aarzoo Khurana, whom I call Guruji, in a chance meeting for an online course during Covid19. Impressed with her medium and methodology I let myself in for one heck of a ride to the field workshops all over the country. I have grown richer with every successive workshop. My self esteem...is another matter! Whether you are a beginner or an evolved photographer, she carries you through every step with crisp instructions on the field and strict discipline to learn the mores of visiting the wildlife in their domain. Respect for the jungle and the importance of understanding your equipment and animal behaviour. Guruji pays attention to each participant with equal gusto. You also learn the whys and wherefores of the reason you have picked up the camera and each workshop leaves you yearning for more. The missing gaps in your understanding of what you didn't know, leaves you with a sense of awe. The teachings are simple and laced with a lot of gentle prodding (in my case specially) to be better. From concept to commission! I think that is the motto. Why do you want to do photography? What is it that you seek? Where do you see yourself in the times to come? Always supporting you in your queries, even when you have doubts after the workshops, she eggs you on to go in the jungle as much as possible. Guruji has led by example when she completed her odyssey of covering 55 Tiger Reserves all over the country. 35,000 km in 6 months. Braving elements, hardship, tough conditions and so much more, Aarzoo shared her journey though her vlogs on YouTube. The best part for me was that she spoke to the camera as she does to us during the workshops. No drama, no OTT emotion and above all just a sense of self and sharing. Aarzoo Khurana will be an inspiration for many years to come. I wish her all the best and hope one day, she will say....Ah. This is a good photo!
Your photographs come better when Aarzoo is in the safari jeep with you. She brings forth a perspective that is unique and enables us to learn much more in those 3-4 hours than what we would do in weeks. I have done five workshops with Aarzoo thats a testimony of how much I trust her as a mentor. The fact that she is a very good and down to earth person is a huge added bonus.
